Lovely hotel
We had another lovely stay at the Chough's Nest. It is such a beautiful hotel, with lovely, clean rooms, fantastic views of the sea, and Devon coast and close to so many beautiful sites for walks and visits. Lynton and Lynmouth are both very attractive with great restaurants, pubs and cafes and the hotel is run by such a friendly family. The breakfasts and light dinners are all home made and really generous and tasty. We keep coming back!

A lovely Traditional hotel
Our first visit to this hotel, ably run by two pleasant sisters, was a joy from start to finish. The tasteful traditional decor and beautiful scenery surrounding the hotel with easy access to North Devon countryside and coast made it a great choice. The freshly made food served in a well appointed dining room with lovely views was excellent - thank you Helen and Kate.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location
Fantastic sea view from the window also looks down on a beautiful kept garden terrace which was a joy also to look out onto when eating a 1st class breakfast. Home made cakes and fresh fruit were also available every day for you to help yourself to which was a lovely touch. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. With an ensuite and lovely fluffy towels and toiletries. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Enjoyable 3 nights stay
Really enjoyed our three nights stay. Everything was great: excellent breakfast, pleasant room with lovely views, gluten free snack provided ( and enjoyed) every day. The hotel is well placed for walks into Lynton, Lydmouth, the valley of rocks, Watersmeet and more.

Fabulous double room with large en suite bathroom overlooking the bay. Beautifully quiet. Looked after so well by the hosts who were attentive to the details. Lovely choice of breakfasts and evening meals. Extra touches like fruit and cake to take out each day. Quite a few stairs to the top rooms but otherwise, perfect!

Peaceful Haven
Cannot recommend highly enough. Wonderful location with beautiful views. Room was large and meticulously clean. Excellent breakfast (do try the kippers) and nice touches like home made cakes and cookies you can help yourself to free of charge. Would definitely stay again.
