Location
Chough's Nest Hotel is located on North Walk in Lynton on the north coast of Devon.
North Walk is a narrow, single-carriage lane accessed via North Walk Hill, which is also narrow, single-carriage and has a steep incline leading from Lynton town centre.
Lynton is situated at an elevation of approximately 500 feet (152 metres) above sea level. The surrounding area is hilly and includes a number of steep paths and roads, most notably Lynmouth Hill and Countisbury Hill both 1:4 (25%) gradients in places.
Position
Chough's Nest Hotel is a Victorian building, built in the 1800s. The hotel building is positioned 20 feet (6 metres) above road level and is accessed by a sloped path and a series of steps and a path through the hotel's front garden.
Parking
We provide private car parking only for hotel guests. It is fully flood-lit at night.
The hotel's car park is at road level some 50 yards (45 metres) beyond the hotel entrance. There is no vehicle access to the Valley of Rocks beyond Chough's Nest's car park.
The Building
The hotel has three floors: ground floor, first floor and second floor.
The hotel does not have a lift.
At ground floor level there is a lounge, dining room and outside terrace.
Bedrooms
The hotel does not have ground floor bedrooms.
The hotel bedrooms are located on the first and second floors. If you require a first floor room, please ask and we will try to accommodate your request as best we can.
