Booking Terms
Deposits
When making a reservation we will require a non-refundable deposit of £15.00 per person, per night. This will be taken from a valid Credit or Debit Card at the time of booking and we will confirm your reservation via email.
If you are booking online then a payment of 30% of the total booking amount will be taken as a deposit to secure your reservation, unless otherwise stated.

Position
Please note that Chough's Nest is located at an elevation of approximately 500 feet (152 metres) above sea level on the North Walk side of Hollerday Hill.
The hotel building is situated 20 feet (6 metres) above road level and is accessed by a sloped path and series of steps through the hotel's front garden.
Parking
The hotel's car park is at road level just beyond the hotel.
Ground Floor Rooms
We do not have a lift or ground floor bedrooms.
Cancellation
Direct Bookings
If you booked direct with Chough's Nest, then we allow a cancellation of your reservation within 21 days of the date of arrival. Cancellation within 21 days can incur a charge up to the full cost of the reservation in the event of us being unable to re-sell the accommodation.
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, you must telephone the hotel directly on 01598 753 315. We are unable to accept alterations made by email as they can be lost or missed.
Third-Party Bookings
Bookings made via a third-party booking provider or online travel agent (OTA) can only be cancelled through that third-party provider and is subject to their terms and conditions or cancellation policies.
Booking & Payments
Please note we are unable to accept "provisional bookings".
All accounts are due for settlement on the day of departure.
We accept payment by cash, a valid debit or credit card. We do not accept payment by Amex, Diners, Business Cheque or Personal Cheque.
All prices include Value Added Tax.
Holiday Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate holiday insurance. This is to safe-guard against loss in the event of sickness, ill-health or any other unforeseen circumstances which may result in you having to cancel your holiday with us.
Parking
The hotel car park has one allocated parking space per room and these are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend guests reverse into a space and leave their registration number with reception so that vehicles can be identified. If you bring an additional car, you will need to park it on the road along North Walk.
The carpark is fully flood lit at night. Guest vehicles and personal belongings are left entirely at their own risk.
Check-in & Check-Out Times
Normal check-in time is from 2pm on the day of arrival.
Should you require access to your room before 2pm (i.e. you are attending a wedding or event) please telephone 01598 753 315 to advise us of your time of arrival and we will endeavour to oblige.
We require guests to vacate their bedrooms by 10.30am on the day of their departure.
Children & Pets
The hotel is unsuitable for children under 12 years of age.
We regret that we do not accept any pets.
Smoking
Chough's Nest Hotel is a non-smoking establishment. It is against the law to smoke within the hotel bedrooms, hallways and public areas, however guests may smoke or vape on the terrace located outside of the hotel building. Due to the sensitivity of the hotel's fire alarms, vaping is not permitted within the hotel.
Conditions of Stay
All guests are advised on check-in to take notice of the hotel fire precautions and to familiarise themselves with the fire exit route.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to our other guests.
Data Protection & Privacy Policy
Any data or information supplied to us by you will be used for the purposes of processing your reservation.
We may from time to time send you notifications (via post or email newsletter) of special offers and promotions which may be of interest to you.
